Ktima Apostolidi, Rosé Brut 2023

Ktima Apostolidi is a small family-owned estate in northern Greece, cultivating vineyards around Kavala and the Nestos river foothills. They farm under biodynamic methods and vinify in small batches, often using the traditional method for their sparkling wines, with an emphasis on native varieties and respect for terroir. The 2023 Rosé Brut is made from a blend of 80% Malvasia and 20% Agiorgitiko, bottle-fermented and aged around 10 months on lees. It pours a delicate pale salmon-pink with a fine bead. On the nose: fresh red berries, strawberry and wild cherry with hints of orange peel, floral lift and light brioche. The palate is crisp and bright, showing red-fruit clarity, a touch of tangy citrus zest, gentle acidity and a subtle mineral undercurrent, finishing fresh, elegant and lightly textured.
